NC Air National Guard jets will buzz the state Thursday. Here’s when and where.

North Carolinians who are looking for something to take their minds off the coronavirus and social distancing can look to the skies for some relief.

The North Carolina Air National Guard on Thursday will participate in Operation American Resolve, an Air Force salute which includes flyovers to honor health care workers while performing regular training. The goal is to demonstrate Air Force readiness during COVID-19.

The flyover starts in Charlotte, before heading to Asheville and then hitting areas like Winston-Salem, Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleigh. After doing a loop near Jacksonville and Wilmington, it will return to Charlotte.
