What’s the best coffee shop in the Triangle? Vote now to name the winner

After two weeks of percolating, we finally have a coffee shop showdown.

The Triangle Coffee Shop Bracket set out to find the area’s top cafes, searching through more than two dozen world class coffee shops, neighborhood joints and roasters to determine the perfect spot for that morning cup.

The finalists are Pine State Coffee and 321 Coffee, both from Raleigh and both roasters of the beans they brew in their coffees. These shops have set the pace for the entire bracket, and each collected more than 20,000 votes to reach the final round.

Pine State is at 1614 Automotive Way, just off of Capital Boulevard in Raleigh. The company started as a roaster, selling its beans around town before opening its own shop in 2019.

321 Coffee is at the State Farmers Market in Raleigh, but has plans to expand with a new shop in the Pendo building on Hillsborough Street. The company started in 2017 and hires employees with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Voting for this final round ends at noon on Nov. 18.
