Police identify 2 men found shot to death in parking lot near Research Triangle Park

Police released the names Monday of two men found shot to death in a parking lot off South Miami Boulevard early Sunday morning.

Officers were called about a shooting in the 4900 block of the boulevard, near the Interstate 40 interchange and Research Triangle Park, at about 1:35 a.m. They found two men in a parking lot, where both were pronounced dead.

Police identified them Monday as Jalen Ramon Mills, 19, and Tony Rashawn Smith Jr., 22.

Police have not released any additional information about the incident, other than to say they are still investigating.
