Dozens of flights at Raleigh-Durham International Airport are delayed and canceled Tuesday morning after severe storms hit parts of the state.

By 9:30 a.m., the most delays and cancellations were planes going to and from RDU with Delta, American Airlines, United Airlines, Southwest, Air Canada, and JetBlue.

Several flights were headed to New Jersey, New York, and Texas.

Travelers can see a flight’s status through rdu.com/airline-information but are instructed to contact their airline directly for any updates and changes.

The severe thunderstorms hit central North Carolina Monday evening, bringing wind gusts up to 75 mph, large hail, and lightning. Thousands of people across the state were without power Tuesday morning due to the weather.
