A Raleigh man was killed in a car crash on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on Saturday after being ejected from his vehicle, according to police.

The man, Donald Lawrence Morgan, 57, swerved to avoid a vehicle that stopped in the right travel lane and struck the curb, police said. His car then entered the median and rolled over into oncoming traffic.

Lawrence, who police said was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle in the collision and died as a result of his injuries.

A juvenile passenger who was sitting in the front seat was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On Sunday morning, police said the accident is still being investigated.
