For the second time this year, thousands of people demonstrated together across the country as part of “No Kings” protests to oppose the Trump administration’s policies.

Nine rallies were scheduled in the Triangle, including in Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill and Johnston County. Volunteers and multiple groups organized the rallies.

Raleigh’s protests, organized by a coalition called Triangle Resistance United, were held on Capital Boulevard.

No Kings protests were previously held Saturday, June 14. This fall’s protests come during a federal government shutdown.

Here are photos from the News & Observer. This will be updated throughout the day.
