The suspect in a Monday shooting in Raleigh has been charged with murder, police said Wednesday.

Ferguson was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said Monday. He died as a result of his injuries, police said in an update Wednesday. A warrant for Sanders’ arrest on murder charges was issued Tuesday and Sanders was taken into custody Wednesday.

Sanders had an outstanding Oct. 28 warrant for felony larceny, court records show. The warrant accused him of a stealing a person’s iPhone 11.
