Three shot at Triangle Town Center mall as Raleigh police flood scene

Three people were injured Friday afternoon in a shooting at Triangle Town Center mall in North Raleigh, police said.

Officers were on the scene at 3:30 p.m., police said, where two people were taken to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

Lt. David Davis said the shooting started near the Express store inside the mall after two groups of people met and exchanged words.

Police recovered a firearm at the scene but were still looking for suspects past 5 p.m.

Police originally reported that two people had been wounded but issued an update at 6 p.m. that a third person had been shot, and also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
