The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office recovered a body from Jordan Lake near the Farrington Point Boat Ramp on Tuesday afternoon.
The Sheriff’s Office is in the preliminary stages of a death investigation, according to a news release. The identity of the person has not been released.
The ramp is located on 605 Farrington Point Road.
Authorities did not provide further details, but are asking the public if they have seen any suspicious activity in the area of Farrington Road or Jordan Lake.
