Motorcycle rider hurt in Sept. 10 Durham crash has died

A motorcyclist hurt in a crash that closed one side of the Durham Freeway last week has died of his injuries, police said Wednesday.

Ian Graham, 31, of Durham was riding his motorcycle southbound on the Freeway, N.C. 147, when it struck a guardrail shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 10, police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said.

Both southbound lanes of the highway were closed from Swift Avenue to Chapel Hill Street while police investigated the accident.

Graham had been taken to Duke University Hospital in critical condition.
