Woman killed when car and tractor trailer collide on Hillsborough Road in Durham
Police are investigating a fatal Monday evening crash in Durham.
Just after 9 p.m., police said, a tractor trailer and a Mazda CX-5 collided in the 3800 block of Hillsborough Road.
The Mazda crossed the double yellow line, causing the crash, Durham police spokesperson Lt. Quincey Tait wrote in a news release.
The Mazda’s driver, Andrea Ashmon, of Durham, was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead. She was 55.
