Officers were called to Interstate 85 southbound at Exit 176 at 6:13 p.m. after a 2015 Dodge Challenger struck the rear of a 2025 Freightliner tractor-trailer, according to a news release.
Alfredo Sanchez Soto, 32, of Durham was driving the Challenger, police said. He died at the scene.
