Banks Road is closed in Wake County as sheriff’s deputies respond to a call about a person barricaded inside a home.

Wake County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about a person barricaded inside a home off Banks Road on Saturday evening, and say the incident ended “without incident.”

The sheriff’s office closed Banks Road between Chelsea Drive and Shield Circle about 7 p.m. and asked people to avoid the area.

By 8:20 p.m., it announced that the standoff had been resolved and the road reopened. No other details were released.
