Raleigh police offering rewards to help solve two hit-and-run fatalities

Rewards are now being offered in hopes of solving two fatal hit-and-runs in Raleigh.

The Raleigh Police Department will be out in the 1900 block of Poole Road at 7 p.m. Saturday to hand out flyers to drivers in hopes of getting arrests in two pedestrian fatalities.

  • Paul Lester was hit and killed by a gray Dodge Charger at 4:13 a.m. Nov. 10, 2023, near the intersection of New Bern Avenue and South Raleigh Boulevard. The driver of the Dodge Charger fled the scene before police arrived.
  • Donna Norman was hit and killed by a white pickup truck at 6:57 p.m. Dec. 16, 2023, while crossing Poole Road. Norman was taken to a local hospital but later died from her injuries. The pickup truck was damaged to its right headline.
