NCSU student reports sex assault at fraternity party

Campus police at North Carolina State University are investigating a woman's report that she was sexually assaulted at an off-campus fraternity party early Sunday morning.

In a campus alert, NCSU police said the woman came to police about 12:30 a.m. Monday to report the incident, which she told them had happened about 1 a.m. Sunday.

She told them it happened at a Delta Sigma Phi party at 1526 Tryon Road in Raleigh, the statement said. The fraternity owns the former Colonial Pines Hotel there, according to tax records.

The woman told police she did not know the assailant and that he was a white man with brown hair.

Police asked anyone with information about the woman’s complaint to contact them at 919-515-3000.
