Read Raleigh Police Department’s report on officer’s fatal shooting of man on I-440
The city of Raleigh on Wednesday released the Raleigh Police Department’s initial report on the fatal shooting of a man by a police officer off Interstate 440 last week.
The two-page report describes the events that the department says led to the shooting of 43-year-old Daniel Turcios after a Jan. 11 crash.
Turcios’ name is written as Jose Daniel Argueta Turicos in the police report, different from how his family and activists have spelled it. The News & Observer contacted a city spokesperson, who said she would check on the spelling.
