Orange County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man Thursday on multiple charges after he led deputies on a multi-county vehicle and foot chase.

Eric David Rolon Feliciano, 28, of Durham was charged with several business and home break-ins, vehicle thefts and traffic violations committed while fleeing law enforcement in several attempted traffic stops this week.

The following agencies announced Friday that charges had been filed against Rolon Feliciano for:

Orange County Sheriff’s Office: Reckless driving, running a stop sign, felony flee to elude arrest, larceny of a motor vehicle, driving left of center, three counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, two counts of breaking, entering and larceny, two counts of injury to personal property, possession of a stolen vehicle and three counts of attempted breaking and entering.

Hillsborough Police Department: 13 counts of breaking and entering to a motor vehicle, nine charges of larceny after breaking and entering, seven felony larceny charges, 13 counts of damage to property, three counts of attempted breaking and entering, two felony conspiracy charges, and one charge of resist, delay and obstruct.

Durham County Sheriff’s Office: two counts of felony flee to arrest, no operator’s license, one count of possession of a stolen motor vehicle and eight stop sign violations.

Durham deputies had been looking for Rolon Feliciano since Tuesday, when they spotted a stolen Dodge Ram 1500 loaded down with plywood at Junction Road and Cheek Road in Durham, the Durham County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Friday.

As Durham deputies attempted to stop the truck, which had been reported stolen from Weaver Trail near Cheek Road in northern Wake County, the driver fled “in a careless and reckless manner, avoiding authorities,” sheriff’s officials said.

Deputies spotted Rolon Feliciano again late Thursday afternoon driving a vehicle near the intersection of Kerley and Cornwallis roads that had been reported stolen out of Wake County, the release stated.

Rolon Feliciano fled to Orange County, where a witness later reported finding his vehicle abandoned in a Hillsborough neighborhood, deputies said. A man matching his description was seen running into the woods, they said.

Orange County deputies and Hillsborough police officers tracked Rolon Feliciano with a K-9 unit. He was arrested several miles north, near the intersection of N.C. 86 and U.S. 70A, they said.

Rolon Feliciano is being held in the Orange County jail on $155,000 bail. He also is being held under an additional $125,000 bail set by a Durham County magistrate.

The Durham Coutny Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about Rolon Feliciano to call investigators at 919-560-0900 or Crimestoppers at 919-683-1200.

Anyone with information about the Orange County charges can call Investigator Borland at 919-245-2915 or Investigator Nazworth at 919-245-2960.
