Man dies after being shot ‘unintentionally’ at Triangle Town Center, Raleigh police say

A man was killed Friday in a car at Triangle Town Center mall after the suspect unintentionally shot him, Raleigh police said.

Raleigh police responded to a shooting in the parking lot at 5959 Triangle Town Blvd. just before noon and found a man with a gunshot wound. The man was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Police said the investigation showed Barri Rogers, 21, was in a car with Ahmad Nasir Dimetrius Johnson, 21, when Rogers “unintentionally” shot Johnson.

Rogers was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter, Raleigh Police said.

Officers say the investigation is ongoing.

The mall remained open during the incident.
