Police are searching for a suspect after a fatal hit-and-run in Durham on Tuesday night.

Just before 11:30 p.m., Tysiea Gurley, of Durham, was struck and killed by an “unknown motor vehicle” on the 800 block of North Alston Avenue, police said. She was 45 years old.

According to police, the suspect did not stop after hitting Gurley.

Police have not specified the type of vehicle the driver was operating at the time of the crash.
