Update: “Cary police ID 30-year-old man killed in shooting at apartment complex Sunday”

A man who was shot multiple times on Sunday in a Cary apartment has died.

Upon reports of a shooting at about 7 a.m., Cary police responded to the 200 block of Hampton Lee, which is just off of MAA Hermitage, an apartment complex, and near North Cary Park.

Officers found an adult male who had been shot multiple times.

In a news release at about 12 p.m. Sunday, the Cary Police Department said the man had died.

The investigation is ongoing but police said it is an isolated incident as those involved knew each other. The name of the deceased and the other individual have not yet been released.
