Raleigh police charge 75-year-old man with murder in stabbing of woman

A woman was stabbed to death in Raleigh on Sunday night.

Raleigh police have made an arrest after a fatal stabbing late Sunday night.

Around 11:30 p.m., police found 58-year-old Wanda Anderson stabbed on the 2800 block of Laodicea Drive. She died from her injuries.

Ralph Pope Jr., 75, was taken into custody and charged with murder.

Police have not said how the two may have known each other or released any other information.

The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone who may have information to call 919-996-119 or to go to Crimestoppers at www.p3tips.com/89 for anonymous reporting options.

This is the second homicide in Raleigh this month.
