Raleigh police are investigating a shooting on Poole Road on Wednesday afternoon. Part of the road is closed until further notice.

Part of a busy road in southeast Raleigh is closed Wednesday afternoon after a man was found with gunshot wounds.

Raleigh police found the man in the 2700 block of Poole Road around 3:44 p.m. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

Police have not released the man’s name or details about the shooting.

There is no suspect currently in custody, police said.

The area of Poole Road between Donald Ross Drive and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard is closed due to the shooting investigation, police reported.

Drivers are asked to find other routes until further notice.
