NC man killed over lost cell phone, police say. Suspect on run is ‘armed and dangerous.’

Police in Smithfield are searching for a suspect in a slaying Monday they say should be considered armed and dangerous.

Markyse Naijae McCain, 20, is accused of killing 30-year-old Antwane Deshawn Fellows of Clayton before 5 p.m. in a home in the 2000 block of Kay Drive.

Police said Fellows was shot in a dispute over a misplaced cell phone, according to a news release that gave no other details.

Police have obtained an arrest warrant for McCain, of Selma, for first-degree murder based, the release stated.
