Durham police investigating ‘suspicious death’ of man found in Duke Park home

Durham police are investigating the suspicious death of a man found dead inside a Duke Park home during a 4 a.m. cardiac arrest call.

Police are investigating after a man was found dead in a Duke Park home early Sunday morning.

Around 4 a.m., the Durham Police Department was called to a home in the 200 block of East Markham Avenue for a reported cardiac arrest.

They found a man in the house who was already dead, according to a news release.

“A cause of death has not been determined. At this time, the death is being investigated as suspicious,” the news release said.

Some of the surrounding streets were closed for the investigation.
