Several schools put on lockdown after shooting at North Hills in Raleigh

Several schools were placed lockdown on Friday after a shooting at North Hills on Friday.

The shooting at Coquette at the 4300 block of the Circle at North Hills Street near Six Forks Road prompted Code Red and Code Yellow alerts at the following schools.

Douglas Elementary, code red, now code green as of 12:37 p.m.

Brooks Elementary, code red, now code green as of 12:38 p.m.

Carroll Middle School, was code red, now code green as of 12:37 p.m.

Green Elementary, code yellow, now code green as of 12:39 p.m.

St. Timothy’s, code yellow

Douglas, Brooks, Root and Green elementary schools and Carroll Middle were all back to Code Green by around noon.

When there is a Code Red, students must stay in their classroom. No one is allowed to enter or leave the campus until an all-clear message is announced.
