Wake sheriff deputies investigating shooting that killed 38-year-old near Wendell
The Wake County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Saturday evening shooting near Wendell that killed a 38-year-old man.
First responders found Shawn Rouse suffering from a gunshot wound around 6 p.m. in the 6200 block of Stag Trail, according to the sheriff’s office.
Rouse died at the scene. No one has been charged with the shooting, but investigators believe it is an isolated incident, the sheriff’s office said.
