Man, 65, charged with murder, stolen gun, after woman shot in East Raleigh

Police have arrested a 65-year-old man after a woman found shot in East Raleigh on Thursday night died.

Keith L. Atkinson of Raleigh is charged with murder and possession of a stolen firearm in the death of 38-year-old Alana Enoicy, according to a news release.

Officers responded to the shooting in the 1800 block of Cantwell Court just before 8 p.m. and found Enoicy, who was taken to the hospital.

Police have not provided a motive or said what led to the shooting. His arrest warrant was not yet available Friday morning.
