An Amber Alert for a 13-year-old girl last seen at a Raleigh bus station was canceled Thursday morning.

Valeria Gonzales Hernandez was reported missing from her Mount Airy home on June 25, according to the Surry County Sheriff’s Office.

The FBI webpage for Hernandez showed a “recovered” banner as of Wednesday afternoon, though an FBI spokesperson declined to comment, referring The News & Observer to the sheriff’s office.

The State Bureau of Investigation posted on Facebook that Raleigh police officers found Hernandez safe on Thursday. She will be returned to Surry County soon, according to the SBI.

Hernandez had been seen at the bus station at 2210 Capital Blvd. in Raleigh. An image from a surveillance camera was also released of her after she got off a bus.

The Surry County Sheriff’s Office said her disappearance initially didn’t meet the criteria for an Amber Alert. But in the last 24 hours, “new leads” prompted officials to request one.
