Chapel Hill police are looking for three men in a Franklin Street carjacking overnight.

About 2:25 a.m. Saturday, police responded to a reported carjacking, according to the Chapel Hill Police Department. The address was 1505 E. Franklin St., which is near Il Palio Restaurant and The Siena Hotel.

Police say that three men stole a vehicle at gunpoint from two people, who were not injured. Two hours later, the car was found in Durham.

Police are looking for the suspects, but did not share a description. They are also looking for possible connections to an armed robbery at a woman’s home near Old Chapel Road on Thursday night. In that incident, three men followed a woman home after she withdrew money from a Bank of America ATM on Willow Drive, and robbed her of cash and credit cards. There were no injuries in that incident, either.

If anyone has information about either crime, call 911 or the Chapel Hill Police Department at 919-968-2760 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays.
