Police identify man killed in Durham shooting on Dorthy Drive
Police on Tuesday indentified a man who was fatally shot Saturday morning as 35-year-old Kendrick Norman of Durham.
Norman was found just before 10 am on Dorthy Drive near the Hayti District just south of the Durham Freeway.
He was taken to the hospital where he died, according to police.
Police have not released possible suspect information or any other details.
As of July 12, a total of 92 people had been shot in Durham, 15 of them fatally, the latest Durham Police Department statistics show.
That compares to 131 people shot by the same time last year, when 21 people had been fatally shot.
