Police were called to the 300 block of Bargate Drive, off Kildaire Farm Road, at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release. A man was taken to the hospital, where he remained in critical condition Monday morning, a Cary Police Department spokesperson said.

Officials called the shooting an “isolated incident” but had released no further details as of late Monday morning.

The victim’s name will not be released, police said.
