Wake County authorities brought a man from state prison to face charges Friday of breaking into a home and taking an antique handgun, pearls and 20 pairs of Victoria's Secret underwear.

Matthew Ryan Burkle, 27, was charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny and felony theft of a firearm in the Nov. 20 burglary at a house on Kinsdale Drive, according to an arrest warrant obtained by Wake County sheriff’s deputies.

The warrant put a value of $740 on a pearl necklace, pearl bracelet, diamond earring and the high-end underwear.

A separate warrant charged Burkle with stealing a Model 1917 Smith & Wesson .45-caliber revolver.

Burkle has a home address in arrest records of 2301 Bonnie Brae Road in Durham.

He had been convicted in May 2014 of having stolen goods and Schedule 1 drugs, the category for heroin and opiates. He was paroled from prison on Feb. 10, 2015.

A conviction six days later on charges of breaking and entering and of larceny resulted in probation. Last month, however, state officials revoked his probation and sent him to prison until July.

A magistrate set bail on the newest charges at $30,000, and Burkle was ordered to appear before a judge Friday.
