One of the most challenging and controversial aspects of living in a pandemic is the question of how and when to open schools. The News & Observer and EdNC want to hear your questions and help find answers.
Parents, along with teachers and students, are invited to join The N&O and EdNC for our latest virtual town hall meeting from 7-8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12. Please register at bit.ly/EdNCNandO.
The virtual conference will feature local experts who will answer your questions in real time. Confirmed panelists include Susan Perry-Manning, chief deputy secretary, N.C. Department of Health and Human Services; Eric Davis, chairman, state board of education; Geoff Coltrane, senior education advisor for N.C. Gov. Roy Cooper; Anthony Jackson, Vance County School Superintendent; and Becki Planchard, DHHS senior early education policy adviser.
