President Trump, SC officials, public figures respond to fatal Amtrak crash
An early Sunday morning crash involving an Amtrak passenger train and a freight train in Cayce killed two people and resulted in 116 more passengers being taken to area hospitals.
As the injured are tended to, the cause of the crash is investigated, debris is cleared and displaced passengers are re-routed to their destinations, many have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the crash and send their wishes, thoughts and prayers to those impacted by the terrible incident.
Everyone from politicians, to public figures to everyday people have shared their thoughts of shock and their deepest wishes for a full recovery as soon as possible for as many as possible.
