This Missouri resort was the inspiration for ‘Ozark’. It’s now on the market for $7M
At first glance, fans of the Netflix drama series “Ozark” will assume that this gorgeous resort listed for $7 million in Lake Ozark, Missouri appears to be the mirror image of the Blue Cat Lodge, a popular setting in the drama starring Jason Bateman and Laura Linney.
And those fans are correct.
The Alhonna Resort & Marina and Bobbers Restaurant & Lounge is actually the inspiration behind the Emmy-Award winning drama about a family who relocates from Chicago to the Ozarks in order to launder money for a drug lord, Swift & Co Realty says.
Bill Dubuque, who created the series, worked at Alhonna during the summer in the 1980s, according to Lake Expo.
“We are flattered to have the opportunity to sell not only a piece of Lake history but also a piece of current pop culture,” co-listing agent Clara Decker of Swift & Co Realty said to LakeExpo.
The family-owned resort has been open for years and offers 62 rooms, 123 boat slips, a full-service gas dock, two pools, two hot tubs, two boat ramps, an enclosed fishing dock and Bobber’s restaurant, lounge and banquet, the listing says.
It’s been over a year since the third season of “Ozark” premiered and fans have been getting antsy to find out what’s in store next for the Byrde family. Almost 30 million people watched Season 3 and production for Season 4 has wrapped up, according to Netflix.
This will be the final season for “Ozark,” which is set to stream starting Jan. 21, 2022.
