I do declare this home for sale in Tennessee is giving Zillow Gone Wild ‘the vapors’
A home that hit the real estate market in Old Hickory, Tennessee, for $2.6 million has a popular social media page feeling overwhelmed with the “vapors” for an understandable reason.
On the outside, the custom five-bedroom, 10-bathroom estate gives off the appearance of Southern elegance with its elaborate fountain to its screened porch.
But the inside, spanning over 6,600-square-feet, is a different story. Fans of Zillow Gone Wild took to the comment section of the home’s post in order to question the décor and toss around some lighthearted jokes.
“I fear I haven’t enough hoop skirts to fill this lovely home,” one person wrote. “Also, I’m not sure I’d be able to visit all of the bathrooms in one lifetime. Walking the halls would give me the vapors!”
“Interior hasn’t been update since the house was built,” another observed.
“It’s like an architectural Yankee Candle…” one person said.
“I want to see a floor plan so I’ll know where all 10 bathrooms are,” another said.
“When given a choice of either this, or that, or the other thing; they said yes to everything,” joked one person.
“My god, that was overwhelming,” another said. “I was grateful for the empty closet photo, it was like the sorbet between courses, a palate cleanser, before the onslaught of more excess. “
“Renting it out to Hollywood for period pieces would help pay for the mortgage,” one person wrote.
“I was expecting a grand piano to be in one of the bathrooms,” another said.
There were some people who fell in love with the home, however.
“Am I supposed to hate this?” one person asked. “Cause I don’t. Does anyone wanna go halfsies?”
“Some decor is excessive - sure.” another said. “Whatever. That leaves. The house is really lovely!”
Old Hickory is about 16 miles northeast of Nashville.
