‘Dream home’ featured on ‘Property Brothers’ sells in no time in Georgia. Take a look
While there are many popular home remodeling shows on HGTV, none are more crowd-pleasing than “Property Brothers,” starring twins, Drew and Jonathan Scott. A recent makeover is proof of their popularity — it just flew off the real estate market in Conyers, Georgia after less than two weeks.
The house was the subject of the reality series — season 6, episode 3 titled “Edith and Fred” — in which the twins promise to set up a couple “with an irresistible staycation party home” on a limited budget, HGTV.com recaps.
The couple ends up buying a fixer-upper with the help of Drew, and the show focuses on Jonathan transforming the backyard into the perfect entertainment playground.
That very revamped home landed on the real estate market a little over two weeks ago, and is now in contingent, with a listing price of $730,000, according to Realtor.com
Highlighted features in the 5,900-square-foot home, according to the listing, include:
Extra-large primary bedroom
Office
Three fireplaces
Eat-in kitchen
Gym
The backyard oasis comes complete with a swimming pool, a pool house with a mini-kitchen and bathroom and an “upstairs that can be a theater room or an additional bedroom,” the listing says.
In October 2021, another one of the brothers’ remodeled digs hit the market in Mount Vernon, New York — a Colonial that sold for $995,000, Realtor said.
Houses featured on other popular HGTV programs have been hot all over the country, including the California house that took the top prize on the first season of “Rock The Block,” which was listed for $1.14 million in Santa Clarita, McClatchy News reported.
