In case you haven’t heard, smoking meat outside in the fresh air is so 2021 — at least when it comes to this particular Houston house that’s on the real estate market for $414,854.
Built into the wall next to the fireplace in the living room is a four-compartment smoker, making walking into the backyard for all your smoking needs a thing of the past. Of course, while cool, the smoker isn’t the only feature that makes the home stand out.
According to the listing on HAR.com, the three-bedroom, two-bathroom home sits in the prime location of Garden Oaks, which is close to tons of “neighborhood hotspots” so you can have the quiet of the suburbs combined with the luxury of dining out and shopping a short drive away.
The 1,713-square-foot property also has an oversized rear den, primary bedroom with a walk-in closet, oak hardwood floors and tons of storage space.
But if we’re being honest, the real draw is that indoor smoker, which caught the attention of the Houston Chronicle, TexAgs forum and even the popular social media group Zillow Gone Wild, where people marveled (and joked) about the indoor utility.
“I mean, it is Texas….we love our bbq,” one person commented.
“BBQ smoker or Cremation Station.. The opportunities are endless,” another joked.
“It’s not the most Houston house ever unless it’s next door to a strip club,” one person said.
“Me as a Texan: that’s just smart,” another replied.
“Meat-ia room,” one person joked.
“The fact that the washer and dryer are also in that room confuses me more than the smoker,” another commented.
“It’s like a thousand degrees most of the year in Houston and these people want extra fire in the living room?!” one person exclaimed.
“Tell me you’re from Texas without telling me you’re from Texas,” another comment said.
And finally...
“BRISKET IS LIFE!!!”
