Woman wins lottery 1,2,3 times — but her 4th Virginia win is the biggest of them all

A Virginia woman won the lottery for three weeks in a row. Feeling lucky, she tried a fourth time — resulting in her biggest win yet.

Her ticket turned into a $100,000 win.

Krystle Smith, from Suffolk, had won $100 a couple of weeks ago playing a scratcher game, according to Virginia Lottery officials. She played again the next week, basking in another $100.

Then she won $200 a week later.

Her winning streak continued when Smith bought the lottery ticket that turned into $100,000, lottery officials said.

“It’s kind of surreal!” Smith said, according to a news release. “I told my fiancé, ‘Babe, I think I just won a lot of money!’”

For now, the woman is just enjoying her luck and has no immediate plans for the money.

The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 1,224,000, according to lottery officials.

Suffolk is about 85 miles southeast of Richmond.
