House featured on HGTV show lists in Kansas City for $389,000. Take a peek
A house that was featured on the HGTV program “Bargain Mansions” recently listed for a bargain itself at $389,000 in Kansas City, Missouri.
And a sale is pending after being on the real estate market for five days.
The four-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home radiates with charm after its restoration, which was done with a $100,000 budget, Realtor.com reports.
Features in and around the 2,346-square-foot home include:
Updated kitchen with custom appliances
Two living rooms
Double closets in the primary suite
Third floor office
Private off-street parking
According to Realtor, the home originally had a strange catwalk that was put in place of a bedroom. Within the “Bargain Mansions” episode, renovation expert Tamara Day, who bought the house for $205,000, got rid of the catwalk and closed the ceiling in an episode tilted “Catwalk Craziness”.
Day’s show is filmed locally “as Tamara and her team bring all types of neglected houses in Kansas City back to life,” her website says.
