Duck Donuts celebrates National Doughnut Day with sweet freebie. What to know
Duck Donuts is celebrating National Doughnut Day with a treat doughnut lovers can sink their teeth into.
Fans can enjoy a free cinnamon sugar doughnut at participating stores nationwide on Friday, June 3, while supplies last, the company announced. The offer is valid in-store only, and no purchase is necessary.
“National Donut Day is here, and this year we’re offering our guests and loyal fans plenty of ways to celebrate alongside us,” Betsy Hamm, CEO of Duck Donuts, said in a statement. “There’s no doubt we’ll be sprinkling happiness and delivering smiles across the country on June 3.”
The national doughnut chain is based in Pennsylvania but traces its roots to the “beaches of the Outer Banks in Duck, North Carolina,” specializing in warm, made-to-order doughnuts, according to its website.
Rival chains Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’ are also treating fans to free doughnuts in celebration of the annual holiday, McClatchy News reported.
