Huge tree grows inside California house - the photos are freaking Zillow Gone Wild out
An estate in Pismo Beach, California, has something wild inside that its listing says is a “once in a lifetime opportunity” and believe us – it really is.
The compound, which has an assortment of different housing structures on the property, has one home known as a “bath tree house” according to the listing on Zillow.com. Which means, yes, it has a massive tree inside that the residence was built around.
And entire estate — tree and all — can be yours for $3.8 million.
“With the sands of Pismo Beach less than a mile away this beautifully maintained property features five different dwelling units that include an actual one bedroom, one bath tree house, a large museum with a studio and one bedroom apartment, a carriage house with a two bedroom apartment, and a studio apartment-with two car garage, a main house with two bedrooms, one and a quarter baths with rock fireplace and wrap around decking, a shed/studio with full bath-each one with private views,” the listing says.
The structures have been remodeled to have parking and recreatonal vehicle hookup sites.
Other features include:
Yoga platform
Man-made cave
Views
“Two seatrain containers that are used as a workshop and storage”
The compound caught the attention of Zillow Gone Wild, a popular social media real estate page, as fans flocked to the comment section in order to throw out their lighthearted observations – and questions – about the estate…and that huge tree.
“But what happens when the tree dies?” one person asked. “Also, what about bugs? And how does it grow if there’s no space around the trunk to grow?”
“You can rent this on Air Bugs ‘n Branches,” another joked.
“Hope the buyer has cats,” someone said. “This would make them very happy.”
“What happens when it rains?” one person asked. “What happens when the tree grows? What about bugs? So many questions.”
“But... what if the tree dies? Or grows?” another commented. “Then what- the house falls down or breaks apart to allow for tree growth? And what about insects? In your house? and kitchen? Beautiful in theory but... no thank you.”
“I was prepared for this to be whimsical and fun, but that looks almost unlivable,” someone said.
“A young couple could really put their roots down in a place like this,” one person joked.
“This could be such an amazing property!” another person observed. “So much potential. Animal rescue with a BnB revenue to support it with some small retreats, etc. Just endless possibilities!”
“How does the tree get watered?” someone asked. “Oh who cares! If I win the Megamillions, I’ll figure it out. Pismo Beach is amazing.”
“I love everything about this property except for that tree,” one person said.
“My cats would love that. Course so would the dog,” another joked.
Pismo Beach is about 80 miles northwest of Santa Barbara.
