A tourist wanted to switch things up during her stay in Las Vegas, and it paid off big time.

The woman from Hawaii, who wanted to remain anonymous, booked a hotel room at Boyd Gaming’s Fremont Hotel & Casino instead of her typical stay at the California Hotel & Casino, Boyd Gaming said in a news release.

When she went to play the $5 Aristocrat’s Buffalo Inferno slot machine at the hotel on Friday, Oct. 7, she put $100 in and wagered $15, according to the release.

Her first spin won her the $717,738.88 jackpot, the company said.

In September, a guest won the $110,363 jackpot after playing Pai Gow Poker at The Orleans Hotel & Casino, according to the release.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
