A truck driver in Virginia stopped to buy a cup of coffee and fill up his gas tank, but he drove away with a stunning lottery prize.

“Suddenly, I wasn’t hungry anymore,” Jose Granados told lottery officials as he looked at his win.

During Granados’ pit stop at a Royal Farms in Spotsylvania County, he bought a Hit It Big! ticket and won $1 million.

The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 1,672,800, according to a Nov. 29 news release from the Virginia Lottery.

Granados had the option to take a lump sum of $625,000 or receive annual payments of the full $1 million over 30 years, lottery officials said. The truck driver chose the lump sum.

The store got a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket, according to lottery officials.

Spotsylvania County is about 55 miles north of Richmond.
