Dr Pepper shake returns to Whataburger – but it won’t stick around. What to know
Whataburger is bringing back its classic Dr Pepper milkshake — but it won’t be around for long.
For a limited time, customers can order the dessert-soda mashup at Whataburger restaurants nationwide, the Texas-based burger chain announced Jan. 3.
The creamy treat is made with a vanilla soft serve base and swirled with Dr Pepper syrup, according to a news release. It joins the restaurant’s lineup of classic vanilla, chocolate and strawberry shakes, with the option to add malt.
Both Dr Pepper and Whatburger are legendary in Texas. Dr Pepper was created in Waco in 1885 and Whataburger’s burger joint was in Corpus Christi in 1950.
A small Dr Pepper milkshake starts at $3.19, though pricing varies by location.
