Watch as bobcat tries to make rattlesnake its snack in Arizona. ‘A no-win situation’
A hungry bobcat tried to make a rattlesnake its snack at an Arizona national park, but the two ended up in a “no-win situation.”
Their battle was caught on camera in Saguaro National Park, officials said in a June 3 Facebook post.
The bobcat thought it secured its “morning snack” when it saw a diamondback rattlesnake slithering in the dirt near one of the park’s visitor centers.
But the feline had to catch the “spicy danger noodle.”
It’s seen in the video swatting at the reptile before quickly jumping back as it appears the rattlesnake strikes back.
The bobcat isn’t ready to give up, so it searches the shrubbery for the snake.
When it spots the snake, it begins swatting at it and lunging its body backward, doing a similar dance as before.
No obvious winner
The video ends as the bobcat walks fully into the shrubbery, leaving viewers without a convincing winner.
Park officials also said they weren’t sure who won, either.
“They ran off eventually before a conclusion was made,” officials commented on Instagram.
“That is some serious desert action right there,” one person wrote on Facebook.
“That’s a no-win situation right there,” another person commented.
Saguaro National Park is about a 110-mile drive southeast from Phoenix.
