Woman plays lottery when it felt ‘right.’ Her big prize in Maryland left her stunned
A woman who doesn’t play the lottery often was visited by lottery luck in Maryland, officials said.
After the moment felt “right,” the woman decided to “indulge” in some scratch-offs with a spare $20 she had, and it paid off, according to a July 23 news release by the Maryland Lottery.
The lucky winner had no clue one of the “random” Gold Rush 7s Multiplier scratch-offs she’d bought in Washington County was carrying a $100,000 prize, officials said.
She “couldn’t believe what she was seeing as she scratched” the ticket revealing the match with the winning number 15, officials said.
The woman plans to save the money, officials said.
This win means there are still five top prizes waiting to be claimed, officials said.
Washington County is about a 70-mile drive northwest of Baltimore.
