Man accused of stabbing family members caught after manhunt, Michigan officials say
A Michigan man is behind bars after authorities say he stabbed two family members.
Brent Durrant, 33, is charged with one count of assault with intent to murder, according to court records.
An attorney for Durrant was not listed.
The charge stems from an incident that took place around 7:30 p.m. Aug. 29, according to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities were called to a home in Gratiot Township for reports of a person stabbed.
When they arrived, deputies found a 56-year-old man with stab wounds and a 55-year-old woman with cuts on her hands, authorities said.
Durrant is a family member and took off after the incident, deputies said. Authorities put out an alert to be on the lookout for him.
On Aug. 31, Durrant was located and arrested, deputies said.
He is being held on a $250,000 bond.
