A man was shot and killed by his roommates in an argument that stemmed from the cleanliness of their home, according to Pennsylvania police and news reports.

Police in Pittsburgh were called to a home around 4:25 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, in the South Side Slopes neighborhood for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found a male victim in the home suffering from a gunshot wound to the back, police said. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition and died a short time later, according to police.

He was identified by WPXI and Patch as Eddie Kimber.

Officers began searching for two suspects, 23-year-old Destiny Jenkins and 24-year-old Lee Tyler McGinnis, according to a police report.

Kimber was roommates with Jenkins and McGinnis and was shot after police said they argued about their home’s cleanliness, according to Patch and WPXI.

Police said Jenkins and McGinnis were eventually arrested, and court records show they were charged Sept. 17.

They are both charged with criminal homicide and conspiracy, police said. McGinnis, according to officers, is also charged with aggravated assault and person not to possess firearms.
