Chick-fil-A is testing two new items — but only in these cities. What to know
Chick-fil-A is testing two new menu items and customers in select cities can try them first.
The Icedream float and Icedream spin landed on menus Monday, March 17, as the chicken chain looks to expand its dessert offerings. The sweet treats are testing at participating locations in four U.S. cities:
- Chicago, Illinois
- Salt Lake City, Utah
- San Diego, California
- Tampa, Florida
A “playful twist” on a classic dessert, the new offerings combine Chick-fil-A’s vanilla soft serve with any fountain beverage, according to the Atlanta-based chicken chain.
The float is made with a swirl of Icedream dessert in customers’ choice of drink, while the spin blends the two together “for a creamy texture,” Chick-fil-A said.
Both are $4.35, though pricing may vary by location.
The Icedream float and Icedream spin are available for a limited time, though Chick-fil-A didn’t say for how long. It’s also unclear when or if the desserts will be offered nationwide.
They’re not the only items joining the menu. Earlier this month, the chain announced the return of the smokehouse BBQ bacon sandwich as part of its spring lineup.
The new offerings also include four seasonal pineapple dragonfruit drinks.
